I know for the TM series rip clip it needs 2 transmitters to function. my question is, do you know if the Virtue RF magna kit will work? I ask because it comes with 2 transmitters for less then half the price of buying the Empire Brand ones.. In canada the empire rf link kit is $60 each, so $120 just to get RF on the rip clip, whereas teh Virtue ones are $50-$60

I know lots of people were really excited about the RF feature.. until they found out it would cost $120 on top of teh $100 rip clip to use.

I will tell you straight from the horses mouth at virtue: you need a hopper board to sync the RF kit to anything.

I haven't fully finished taking the kit apart, but basically the RF kit has no "locked frequency " on it to function with just your hopper board and not with everyone elsewhere on the field.

So there is software on the hopper board that pairs the kit to the board in the loader.

I'm almost certain the virtue RF kit is an off the shelf item. I have seen their USB adapter board on a hobby web page some place when it didn't use a mini-USB port as of late.

I'm working on my own RF kit to counter this need your searching an answer for.

Sorry I missed this before Dave.

Did you get a solution from Virtue? I do think it's very unlikely that their transmitters will link to our boards and work in the correct way.

I know the price of the RF modules has gone down recently in the USA. Maybe they are more affordable now for everyone?
