When going through my archives from my old website I found a bunch of pictures of some of the Intimidators I designed for Bob Long back when Bob and NPS were working together.

Here's the pictures of the Naughty Dogs Intimdator.

The gun started out as a design that I was going to make JUST for myself as a "one off", then we picked up the Naughty Dogs with a sponsorship and there was a big hurry to get a custom gun for the team.

I adjusted the design and came up with the concept of the Dog Paws. This gun actually took quite a while to get to the finish design because Rocky kept wanting to make little changes and refinements.

This gun went through quiet a few small iterations and you can see a few of them here. The changes are subtle and involved me making the back thinner with a "step down" to reduce material and save weight.

The final gun here, also changed slightly before production where the side cut to the step moved slightly further forwards too.

I still have the original Prototype of this gun, and got it back well used finally from Rocky. It became a test gun for me and was the first intimidator to have QEV's. It has a special in line QEV's which was (and still is the only one I have ever seen like it). This was way before the Ego came out. It was also the first to have a cup faced bolt with a cut top and used o-rings as a bumper between the bolt and the balls in the feedstack.

Funnily enough when the Ego and Cure bolt was released I found out because Rocky Knuth called me to tell me about the bolts in the gun. :)

Here's the first iteration with just one paw print.

And then I tried to push the design to the limits and remove as much weight and material as possible.

You can see the full cut out above the tube (full window through the gun).

You can see the step where I made the rear thinner, and you can see there is a lot less material on the gun now.

You can see that the hump at the back is reduced too.

This gun was one of the lightest high ends available at the time.
