Simon, are BT-16's discontinued? What about BT-4 models that have vertical feeds? Any option for that?

Yes the BT 16 is discontinued and has been for a long long time.
No BT4 has vert feed. It wouldn't be horrendous to mod one to be so and mount the feedneck to the picatinney rail in some way.
