Somewhat nicer than that Nissan Versa you were shoehorned into in Chicago. My oldest daughter just drooled all over the computer. :)

That is a stunning looking car Simon! Very envious :) And you have the nice weather for it too :)
Looks like you ticked every option box too! Good man ;)
As said above, get it on the track! We want vids.......

I was almost certain he'd have a DB7 by now! I've never been a fan of Lotus, since they've always been more show than performance, but I'm excited to see what this new model has in store. No matter, it is stunningly beautiful.

Lotus are most certainly not about show. they are about light weight (very un-American), low power (again, very un-American :) ) and sublime handling. They have undoubtably the BEST chassis engineers in the world, again something that seems rather lost on our American cousins :)
OK, so that may be a bit OTT, but the point is that Lotus has always been about cars that "handle" rather than cars with "power". And I think that is why they are so un-recognized as the class act that they are by the bignumber, power-hungry American driving public.

Good news boys, I just bought myself a new car:

Just kidding. Jack, I don't think that ideology has been lost on me... but I dislike the way North American vehicles are produced...
the Elises and Exiges I've seen out at Sebring would disagree with your statement about more show than performance.
My old roommate in FL had an Elise... I can't fit in it very well, but they're pretty amazing little things to drive!

Little being the operative word here :P They must look redonculously small over there riding around between all the bloated SUVs and trucks.
No, give me light weight and a car with fienly resolved damping and handling over big power output any day :)

That supercharged version had better not be available any time soon... or if it is, there had better be a factory conversion with warranty available for the original Evora... :)

Too bad you have to deal with that crook Hennessey to get one.

We were just chatting about your Evora on our way home tonight. Considering the blizzard conditions we're facing here, and I hear the Jersey area is getting the same treatment, I'm assuming you've got a winter ride? I'm picturing an LM002 or some other suitably insane ride. :)
Simon

Toyota Tundra is my winter/utility ride and I love it. Great truck.
Henessey makes some cool rides, but I agree with Fred. He's a crook. Some of the stories I heard about him at car shows in Texas were just ridiculous. Like taking parts off customers cars to put on friends cars or people he liked.

Nope. Don't think I have ever owned a Ford...

Fixed that for you. I believe Simon calls his gun cave "the basement". :D

I think Jack must be right. I really would love to get a Shelby Super Snake. I have to say the Lotus looks like it would be a riot on some nice curvey roads though.

That's why the new place I am remodelling has a 36x60 pole barn. :) if I had Jay's money you'd better believe I would collect cars!

The new place has a special section in the basement which will be just for my paintball stuff. Bigger and easier to lay out than the current place.

The lotus is almost unbelievable around corners. It takes them with a speed and grace that has to be experienced. :)
I has a sad for Simon...
