I saw a video that Mike from TechBP did if him playing xball with the 50cal drop-in kit on his SLS and I got to thinking....Can you really just drop it in, or do you need to make adjustments to the input pressure and solenoid settings to accommodate for the smaller ball
Anyone have an experience in this area? Do you find ourself decreasing the LPR pressure or dwell? How much on average.
(Sorry my random thoughts before coffee)

I am fairly certain you'd have to at least lower the HPR pressure some. Jack Wood might be able to tell you a more definite answer though.

we had to turn the HPR way down to get them to shoot legal when we used the ego 50 cal kit to test it.

I did on mine too. I was up in the 340's initially... and getting decent range for a 50 cal. :D (I need a better selection of smilies here...) a rofl would have helped.

I'm honestly amazed they fly straight. They just seem so....small, there's almost no mass. Then again, I'm still amazed air-soft rounds fly straight. :)
Damn they didn't break at 340 simon?

Airsoft rounds fly straight because of "hop-up"... the paintball equivalent of a Flatline barrel or APEX tip.

No sperical object flies "straight". But it does help to keep them on course (and get some extra disctance) by applying a favorable spin to them.

This is true. But in this sport, straight is a relative term. Maybe I should use "predictable trajectory" instead. :p
