I made this video to try and explain to people why a gun can dry fire faster than it can shoot with paintballs.

I also wanted to explain why the guns cycle time, and the time the loader takes to load a ball into the breech are both critical to the guns top rof.

Does the gun limit the ROF, or does the loader? The answer is BOTH.
