View Full Version : Simon, got a question on Halo shells.

I have a buddy who has three pulse loaders. Apparently his shells are all cracked. He informs me that Halo shells fit, but aren't 100% compatible.

Can you list any other manufacturers that make Halo replacement shells?

Nobody is licensed to make them, and there have been some dubious quality knock offs or split body shells.

Some are better than others. The design and plastic used in some of the split body shells is likely to cause parts to break sooner than you would want, but you would find installing the Pulse Loader internals into those shells a little easier. You still need some Halo Parts though to do the complete install.

The Official body shells are from Empire. There are others from Powerlyte, Hybrid, and someone else I can't recall.

Warrior was a knock-off of the Powerlyte/Hybrid shell. Same basic design, but honestly not all that great. I was tremendously underwhelmed by the set I had to replace some elderly pearl shells that were literally crumbling. I probably would have been happier duct-taping the crumbly shell back together... or just sucking it up and buying real Empire shells. :)
